A critical view of the healthcare analysis of patients with Parkinson Disease (PD) can help physicians determine better treatment strategies as well as promote patient awareness and condition's management. An innovative approach to analyzing these strategies is to use patient segmentation on data using electronic medical record (EMR). The motivation of this project is to address the following challenges: i) segmentation of PD patients in uniform subgroups with relevant demographics and other parameters, and ii) the usage of machine learning instruments (e.g. Decision Tree Learning) to provide a correct classification of the patients among specific subgroups or segments.
