The Chang research group studies solution-based thin film deposition processes, ink jet printing, microreactor technology and nanomaterial synthesis. Our research group was the first to report inkjet printing of amorphous oxide TFTs and CIGS solar cells. Microreactor-Assisted Nanomaterial Deposition, MAND, a technique that was developed jointly by our group, was recognized by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers as the 2011 SME "Innovations That Could Change the Way You Manufacture" Watch List. Our Microreactor-assisted Nanomaterial Printing (MANP) for anti-smudge and anti-glare coatings on eyeglasses and smartphone displays has been recognized as one of the 2015 TechConnect Innovation Awardees for early-stage technologies that placed in the top 20 percent of those submitted to the TechConnect National Innovation Summit in Washington, DC.
