Our group has studied solution based thin film deposition processes, ink jet printing, microreaction technology and nanomaterials. Our research group was one the first to report inkjet printing amorphous oxide TFTs and CIGS solar cells. Microreactor-Assisted Nanomaterial Deposition, MAND, a technique that was developed jointly by our group, was recognized by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers as the 2011 SME "Innovations That Could Change the Way You Manufacture" Watch List. Also, Microreactor-assisted Nanomaterial Printing (MANP) for anti-smudge and anti-glare coatings on eyeglasses and smartphone displays has been recognized as 2015 TechConnect Innovation Awardees for their early-stage technologies that placed in the top 20 percent of those submitted to the TechConnect National Innovation Summit in Washington, DC.
