Overview

Description

Originally designed at Washington University in St. Louis and rebuilt at Oregon State University, Action Jackson is a robot designed to paint in the style of Jackson Pollock. The system is run off a arduino and uses ROS to communicate with the controllers to dictate how the painting should look given certain sensory input.

Future Plans

Future work for Action Jackson includes using the Microsoft Kinect to visualize motion, and base the painting off of this motion. By using vision, we can use artistic elements such as dance to influence the robotic painting.
