Dr. Hailei Wang is a Research Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical, Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering at Oregon State University. He received his MS from Texas Tech University in 2002 and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University in 2006. He has broad research interests in thermal fluid sciences with focus on advanced energy systems and technologies. His current research includes: developing distributed energy systems that effectively integrate waste heat and renewable energy; advancing a unique thermal energy storage concept, and designing high performance and multi-function microchannel heat exchangers for process intensification. His work has been funded by various agencies including DOE/APAR-E, DOD, Oregon BEST, ONAMI and large corporations. He has published over 30 journal and conference papers, and a number of patents and invention disclosures. He routinely served as reviewer for numerous internationally renowned journals. Recently he also helped organize one of the thermal and thermo-chemical energy storage sessions at the 2016 ASME Power & Energy Conference.
