OSU personnel with access to ONID

There are a few preliminary steps to getting you in the MaSC labs.  Because your access code works for the entire facility, these steps are the same for both the cleanroom and characterization lab.  Individual equipment training is managed by Rick Presley after initial orientation.  Please send confirmation when you have completed the online training listed below at the following link:  https://oregonstate.scishield.com/raft/training/courses  In the Laboratory Safety category complete;  Lab Safety Training for lab Workers, Hydrofluoric Acid Awareness, Hazardous Waste Awareness, and Laser Safety.  Let Chris Tasker know if you have trouble logging in, or finding these links.  Also, please confirm that you have read, and will abide by, the safety guidelines in the LCHP.  Once Chris Tasker has your reply a meeting, typically just under an hour, when you will be given your PPE and will be showen the waste collection procedure.  At that point, Chris Tasker will issue your individual access code and you can schedule equipment training with Rick Presley. 

Accessing MaSC facilities requires training

All shared equipment in MaSC facilities requires training and certification.

One time training and orientation fee of $410 for academic/government, $510 external

     MaSC facilities and equipment fees

User access fees billed per term for academic, billed monthly external

$300 per term per researcher for academic users

$400 per month per researcher for external users

Certain equipment requires an hourly fee per use at the rate specified for that equipment.
