We are broadly interested in materials fabrication, processing, development and computational modeling. Our current research is focused on thermally driven and/or irradiation induced kinetic processes in metallic materials, and the formation and properties of amorphous metals/alloys (a.k.a. metallic glasses), amorphous matrix composites and high entropy alloys. Our research involves both computation (molecular dynamics, ab initio, cluster dynamics, object kinetic Monte Carlo, nucleation and growth theory, finite element, etc.) and experiments (melting, casting, annealing, coating, powderization, microstructural characterization, thermal and mechanical tests, etc.).
