Jorge Miranda (M.S.) My research entails investigating what engineers studied in college and how this relates to what they have done and what are doing in engineering practice. |
Jason Pascoe (M.S.) |
Edgar Castro (M.S.) My research involves a detailed investigation on how safety is being taught in transportation engineering schools across the country. From this research, needs and priorities regarding safety in transportation will be identified and potential solutions will be developed to surpass current education about safety. |
Keisha Villanueva (M.S.) The purpose of my research study is to learn how existing engineering programs evaluate and assess teaching across the country. During this study, I will be conducting interviews, collecting documents of current practices, and developing a summary document that identify the best practices to evaluate and assess teaching in engineering departments. A model will be developed that will more effectively evaluate teaching, classroom performance, and include formative assessment aspects that allow faculty to improve their teaching based on feedback. |
