GeoMat VR - LidarViewer Tools Demo

The Geomatics Research Lab at Oregon State University has constructed a 3D TV Immersive visualization system (GeoMat VR) for the purpose of visualizing digital 3D data including, Lidar point clouds and digital elevation models. Here, GeoMat VR is used to examine a home damaged in an earthquake-triggered rock avalanche in Christchurch, NZ. Field data collection for this work occurred under National Science Foundation Grant 1439773

GeoMat VR - Forest Terrestrial Lidar

Using GeoMat VR and LidarViewer to visualize terrestrial lidar data acquired in forested environments. Field data collection in the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest occurred under National Science Foundation Grant 1417603.

Thermography of Pacific Power Substation, Brownsville, OR

We utilize a vareity of technologies in our research. This video shows an example of thermal imagery of a substation acquired with a UAS.
