Asmaa Harfoush, Ph.D. Student (2020-present)

Asmaa Harfoush is a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at OSU. She was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt. She received both her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Production Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. She is currently exploring the intersection of AI and incremental Sheet Metal forming.

Suraj Panicker, Ph.D. Student (2018-present)

Suraj received an M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering, majoring in Advanced Manufacturing and minoring in Mechanical Engineering. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai, India. His research focuses on bottom-up cost modeling for continuous production processes, paired with social impact assessment. The research objective was to develop an approach to assess the social aspect of sustainability during humanitarian product design. He accepted a doctoral position with the Tampere University of Technology (Finland).


Hari Nagarajan, Ph.D. Student (2018-present)

Hari P.N. Nagarajan is pursuing a concurrent M.S and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.  He comes from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, a coastal city in the southern part of India. He has received his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E). in Production Engineering in 2014 from Velammal Engineering College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He started his M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University in 2014. His current research focuses on Sustainablity Characterization of Additive Manufacturing. Other research interests include, Life Cycle Engineering, Material Processing using Additive Manufacturing, and Information Framework Development for Additive Manufacturing Sustainability Evaluation.


Arvind Shankar Raman, Ph.D. Student (2016-present)

Arvind is pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. He is from India. He received his Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (2007) and Master's in Mechanical Engineering (2013) from Pondicherry Engineering College & Washington State University, respectively. His current research area is Sustainable Life Cycle Engineering with a focus on Developing Standardized Framework Models for Unit Manufacturing Processes. Other research interests are in Bio-based design, Axiomatic Design Approach, Additive Manufacturing and re-manufacturing.

Rajesh Saranam, Ph.D. Student (2013-present)

Rajesh is pursuing a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering co-advised by Dr. Brian Paul.  He comes from the southern part of India. He has received his B.Dc. in Metallurgical and Material engineering in 2009 from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India. He received his M.S. in Materials Science from Oregon State University in 2013. His current research area are advanced nano coating (deposit anti-reflective coatings on glass surface" and joining process "diffusion brazing of Ni super alloys."

Chris is pursuing a M.S. in Industrial Engineering. He is from Philomath, Oregon. He recived his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University in 2020.
