Courses Taught

MFGE 336 (was IE 336) Production Engineering (OSU, Winter 2010-current): This course introduces upper-level undergraduate students to concepts of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, workholding, and sustainable production, with a focus on machining. This course was approved to be added to the curriculum in 2009.

MFGE 535 (was IE 499/599) Industrial Sustainability Analysis (OSU, Fall 2012-current): This course introduces upper-level undergraduate students and graduate students to current methods and tools to conduct sustainability analysis from engineering and business perspectives. Topics include life cycle assessment, economic analysis, and social responsibility.

ME 413 Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing (OSU, Winter 2009, Fall 2009-current): This senior-level course provides an introduction to Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) tools and their application. Projects involving CAD/CAM tools constitute a major portion of the course. Developed and delivered a lecture/lab module on "Environmental and Sustainability Aspects of Design and Manufacturing," including a life cycle analysis project (W09), which was later integrated into IE 336. Developed and delivered a lecture/lab module on programmable logic control (F09).

IE 491/591 Sustainable Engineering Analysis (OSU, Fall 2011): This course introduced graduate students to current methods and tools to conduct sustainable engineering analysis of products, processes, and systems. The course is underpinned by the product life cycle concept.

ENGR 407 MECOP Seminar (OSU, Fall 2009-2010): This seminar course introduced incoming IME MECOP (Multiple Engineering Co-op Program) students to the co-op experience and companies involved.

SSE 2100 Introduction to Service Systems Engineering (MTU, Fall 2008):This introductory, sophomore-level course covered the evolution of service systems engineering within the broader context of the engineering disciplines. Careers and professional practice within the discipline were explored. Topics included systems analysis and design, introduction to quality tools, and service management. 

MFGE 536 Lean Manufacturing Systems Engineering (OSU, Winter 2021): This course introduces upper-level undergraduate students and graduate students to integrating lean methodologies and theory into real world manufacturing systems.
