1. Oregon State's Summer Experience in Science and Engineering for Youth (SESEY) program:
We host local high school students in our laboratory, via Oregon State's Summer Experience in Science and Engineering for Youth (SESEY) program. This program provides high school students (in particular women and minorities) a taste of life in an academic research environment and a sense of the rewards of such a career. During SESY program, students complete a mini-project e.g., case-study metallography of additively manufactured components and present their work as a poster at the closing night social event.
