Saereh is a PhD student in mechanical engineering with focus on advanced manufacturing. She joined our team in June 2018. Prior to joining the school of MIME, Saereh received her Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University where she worked on manufacturing, testing, and analysis of brake friction materials. She was an intern at Bruker company and worked on characterization of sliding wear and friction surfaces of Al-alloys and steels. In addition to her academic background, she worked for several years in industry, as a mechanical design engineer in rotary manufacturing companies and assisted in 3D modeling and product design development.

At OSU, her research is focused on binder jetting of 316L stainless steel and Inconel 625 and identifying binder jetting processing-structure-properties correlation.
